Step 1: Reading Assessment
Students begin with an online assessment that determines their reading comprehension level. This helps set their personalized SkyLark Level and reading goals.
Step 2: Handpicked Book Delivery
Students receive handpicked physical books from a curated library, matched perfectly to their reading level using the proprietary SkyLark Score.
Step 3: Independent Reading
Students read at their own pace—independently or with support—at school or home. Every book enhances vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
Step 4: Post-Reading Quiz
After each book, students take a short, timed quiz to check understanding. These multiple-choice questions reinforce comprehension skills.
Step 5: Earn Flight Miles!
Scoring 80% or more on a quiz earns Flight Miles. Students unlock badges, climb leaderboards, and participate in exciting class and school challenges.
Step 6: Progress Tracking
Students are re-evaluated every term to keep their reading level up to date. Teachers and parents get real-time dashboards to track progress.

Pinpointing the Right Starting Point
Every six months, students take a Reading Level Assessment. This isn’t a test for marks, but a diagnostic tool that measures comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary. The result is a personalized reading level, ensuring students get books that challenge them just enough without overwhelming them.
Guiding the Journey with the Right Books
Based on the assessment, our system suggests books within the student’s Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). This keeps reading enjoyable while steadily building ability and confidence.
Measuring Growth After Every Book
Once a student finishes a book, they complete a Book Quiz — short, engaging, and targeted. These quizzes measure how well the student understood the text, what vocabulary they retained, and whether they can apply critical thinking to the story.
Actionable Insights for Teachers & Parents
Teachers instantly see which skills need attention and where a student is excelling. Parents receive clear progress reports that go beyond “did they finish the book?” to “what did they learn from it?”
